Swimming

Today we went swimming at the locale rec center. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! I was a little worried about Betty. She does not like to go swimming. I once took her in my sisters pool and she screamed hysterically and then BIT me! I almost didn't even put her in a swimsuit, but I decided we would just see. SHE LOVED IT! She swam the whole time. We started her off slow with the kiddie pool. It had some cool little swings for babies, and I put her in one to get her adjusted. She almost started to cry, but I talked her down. She sat in the swing for just a few minutes, and I talked her into getting into the water with me. Before I knew it, she was going down the slides and swimming around on her stomach. By time we were getting ready to leave, she was jumping off the side and trying to swim under water! The boys loved it too. We talked Samuel into going down one of the big slides with Chelsea. He loved it. He wouldn't do it again however haha, but it did making him daring enough to use the kiddie sildes, which were pretty big themselves. Samuel and Aidan were swimming up a storm. I think they love the water because it is just so freeing. Aidan can stand right up in the water, he doesn't have to put his hands on his knees or hold on to anything. We had one little scare. Samuel told Paul he was coming back over to me in the Kiddie pool, but instead he went to the bathroom. Worst 3minutes of my life! The little stink. We had a talk with him, and from then on he was not allowed to leave one parents side. I cannot wait to go back. It was totally worth it. Sorry I didn't take any pictures. I figured a swimming pool was not the place for my $800 camera hahaha.

I also forgot to mention how much of a girly girl Betty is.... Everytime we got out of the pool, she would cry because she wanted to have her hair brushed haha.

13 Weeks 6 Days

Only 183 days to go

Ate my Brain Pictures, Images and Photos

This picture pretty much explains how I feel these last few days.

Pregnancy Mishap #1
It has been a long day, so I decided to take a long hot bath.
I get the water going, get in..
And just as I am settling down into the nice warm water.
I notice....
MY SOCKS ARE STILL ON!

Pregnancy Mishap #2
Taking my shower for the day. I lean down to get the conditioner
and notice that the whole room suddenly smells like tuna.
Then it hits me.....
The kids had asked me to make them some Ramen.
I put it on the stove and continued on my way to the shower.

I had to jump out mid conditioner, throw on my robe and run downstairs.
Luckily the noodles had just barely burnt to the pan.
I hopped back into the shower, then got out and remade them Ramen
Making sure not to leave the stove for any reason haha.

Other than that things have been good. Except Betty got sick with Hand Foot Mouth Disease while we were up camping. She was having a really hard time sleeping. And 3days with very little sleep, I started getting these massive headaches. I finally just took some Tylenol and Benedryll and Paul let me go to bed after that. I slept from 8pm-8am. And Felt much better that next day. My energy is starting to come back, and I don't think my mood swings are as bad as they were. I have an easier time keeping myself under control. Although I will admit I get annoyed VERY VERY easily. And long car rides=Very Sick Momma.

This week in Baby World
13 Weeks Pregnant

How Big is the Baby at Thirteen Weeks Pregnant?

During pregnancy week 13 baby is anywhere from 2 and a half to a little over 3 inches long and weighs up to .7 ounces. about the size of a medium shrimp. Though baby is significantly larger by pregnancy 13 weeks, he is still pretty tiny. Fortunately there is plenty of room to expand in your uterus as you follow your pregnancy week by week

Baby's Development at Week 13 of Pregnancy

At 13 weeks pregnant, baby can now probably flex its arms and kick its legs. He or she may also be able to put a thumb in his or her mouth, although the sucking muscles are not yet completely developed.
Other fetal development that occurs when you are 13 weeks pregnant typically includes the following:
  • The appearance of fingernails
  • The beginnings of fingerprints and footprints
  • The appearance of tooth buds for all 20 baby teeth
  • The start of vocal cord formation
  • The movement of eyes (closer together) and the ears (to a normal position)
  • The appearance of visible ribs
  • The development of the trachea, lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas, and intestines into their final functioning form.
Right now things are just kind of a waiting game for me. Wondering when I will feel those first flutters. Soon I hope.

12 Weeks 6days

Only 190days left to go!

Well this week has been a ball of emotions. Waiting to hear that babies heartbeat over the Doppler is the most emotional roller coaster I have ever been on! It means that there is a less than 5% chance now of miscarriage. I can finally breath a sigh of relief and know that the baby is thriving and doing good! I know Paul is happy about this, since I more than obsess about it haha. I also have been dying to hear that heartbeat because that meant we could finally spill the beans! What fun is a pregnancy if you can't share it with everyone!?

In Babies World This Week:
12 Weeks Pregnant

How Big is the Baby? At 12 weeks pregnant baby is just about two and a half inches long about the size of a plum and weighs up to half an ounce!

Baby's Development at Week 12 of Pregnancy

By the time you are 12 weeks pregnant, baby is about 2.5 inches long and weighs approximately 0.3 to 0.5 ounces. While this may not seem like a lot, baby has doubled in size in the last 3 weeks (imagine if you did that!). Also, during the next few weeks, the finishing touches on the internal organs will occur, and baby's face will start to look more human.
Fetal developments that usually occur during week 12 include the following:
  • A skeleton of cartilage is forming
  • The gallbladder secretes bile from the fetus
  • The lungs are completely formed
  • The thyroid gland and pan creas are now complete
  • The liver is functioning to make blood cells
  • The liver accounts for about 10 percent of the entire weight of the fetus
  • Your baby's first urine is made and eliminated into the amniotic sac
  • Your baby's intestines can now fit into his or her abdomen.
Also, by week 12 of pregnancy, the fetal muscles ar e sufficiency developed to allow spontaneous twitches. For example, if the forehead is touched, the fetus will turn its head away.

As For Me:

Welllllll I feel amazing! Other than stressing about the baby. I have no morning sickness still, a good healthy appetite and my fatigue is starting to fade. I do need a good lay down/nap during the day, but other than that, oh and feeling lightheaded when I stand up. I feel GREAT! And now that I am able to share with everyone, I feel even better. I have all my sisters and mommy friends for support. And I really could just not be happier. Now I am just waiting for that first little flutter and the ultrasound.... I say its a girl... Paul says Boy.. 8 more weeks and we will know for sure! Not that it really matters, we are pretty much set for either haha. Ahhh I just love pregnancy it is the most magical and emotional time, its like Christmas Eve every day!

Family Camp Out.

This past weekend we went on a camp out with my family. It was A TON of fun. We ended up going to this lake about 10miles from Lynndyl. It was beautiful! We rode fourwheelrs, roasted marshmellows, danced around the camp fire, and swam. I can't wait to go again! It was so hot, that the kids had to sleep in shorts and tank tops! It never cooled down!

Warning: picture over load!

We found some foot prints, which we thought were raccoon tracks
But they also had this track off to the side.
Like something was tracking it..........
We soon came to realize they were fox tracks.....
Because a few feet away on the same path was a fox....
missing its bottom half....

SCARY!
