We usually let the kids play at the park, and then head up to ride the train.
After I took these pictures, I went down to sit with Jackson while Paul
Went and bought the tickets for the train ride.
All of sudden I hear my name being called.
I thought that is odd, so I asked Dylan to sit with Jackson and I walked over to the park.
I said "I'm Shiloh" and They said that my kid had fallen and was hurt.
I walked over and behind this log, there was Samuel laying in the dirt.
I knew right away he had broken his arm
because he had the same weird rash on his neck and face that he had gotten when he broke his leg.
When he moved his other arm to let me see, his elbow was already swollen
I called Paul and told him we needed to go rightnow because Sam had hurt himself.
He came over and checked it out and agreed.
I picked Samuel up and carried him to the front, while my family got all our stuff ready to go.
When we arrived at Primary Childrens, Samuel was in a lot of pain.
But like his little brother wasn't really crying.
After they got us all settled in his room
The doctor came in to give him and IV so that they could give him
Morphine, because they were going to have to move his arm
to get the x-rays.
Aidan was so so mad at the doctor for hurting Samuel.
I think Aidan was more upset at seeing Samuel having to go through that, then Samuel was.
He just had this look on his face, like he wanted to rip the doctors face off
for hurting his big brother.
After Samuel was done getting his IV, he told Aidan he was okay,
and the doctor went out and got them both matching stuffed animals.
After Samuels morphine kicked in,
he started talking a mile a minute
and he did great for the x-rays
The doctor kept calling him
"Samuel the Brave"
The x-rays showed that he did have a fracture,
and it looked like it extended out into joint space
So they thought he was going to have to have surgery.
After an agonizing wait to hear what the ortho's had to say
They decided that he didn't need surgery
Just a splint for 10 days and then come back to be casted,
How do you explain to a 7 year old that he needs to take it easy?
haha.
what a week I tell ya!
