We Came We Saw We Conquered

We headed out to Topaz Mountain to do some rock hounding. It was a great day. A little stormy but still warm, and the clouds kept the sun away. 

I didn't get many pictures of us rock hounding, I kindof forgot I had my camera with me. 

But I did get some cool shots of the scenery.

If anyone can tell me what this is. 

I'd love to know haha

We are guessing maybe a tarantula nest?

It was a lot of fun. 

We are going to do so more research on finding the topaz and go back another time.

This was just an excuse to post a large amount of Jackson

A great begining

To a super fantastic weekend. 

Friday Paul went out with Derek, so Sami and I took the kids down to the beach. It was so relaxing! Except for one little incident of Samuel almost drowning. He was playing on the tubes with some of the older kids, and they did not notice that he was still hanging on, they started going out into the deep end. Luckily Chelsea noticed him and swam over and grabbed him.

We had A LOT of fun.. I love that place.

After we got home, Stryder came over with his kids. Cami took the kids out to go frog hunting, but they weren't finding anything.

I went out to talk on the phone, and I found this little guy

So then all the kids went out again, and they found this fat little guy

This is him in Camis hands.

Back to the beach

What did I tell ya? My sisters made plans with us to head over to the reservoir again. My kids had been begging all weekend to go again, so it was quite the treat for them.

Betty didn't even hesitate getting in this time.

Look at that grin.. haha

I think they like this place.

The water was even warm enough for Jackson to get in.

He sooo loved it.

All I have to say about the Bumbo is.

BEST $35 We have ever spent. 

 Jackson kept trying to eat the sand..

So mad that he would then precede to

The water was so warm

Everyone ended up getting in

 We even had a little friend stop in to say hi.

We had a lot of fun, then all the kids came home

and crashed.

Our New Favorite Place..

My brother in-law told us about this little reservoir, it's seriously maybe 3minutes from our house.  It is just so much fun. Its sandy not muddy, and the water is WARM.  The kids love it. We ended up staying for 3 hours.

 

okay so I know I said it wasn't muddy

It's not.

This is the clay that my niece brought up from the bottom of the reservoir.

About the only time she really got INTO the water haha.

Then it was Sams turn.

He took some convincing to do it

But he started to like it real quick

Until Cami gave him boobs too

It was a blast, and I am pretty sure I know where we will be for the rest of the summer.
